As one of the largest regional collections’ facilities within the area, this agency maintains the on-site museums of every state. It currently houses a variety of cultural artifacts that are preserved and displayed on-site. With limited space and no plans for expansion, the facilities manager decided that a storage plan needed to be put into effect. Since the collection consists of many three-dimensional artifacts, flags and other textiles, the planning team worked with Spacesaver Corporation to place cabinets and textile racks on mobile systems to increase capacity and eliminate wasted space within aisles. This creative solution has resulted in a clean, compact preservation environment that’s organized and accessible.
